Liz Milner

 

 

Liz Milner lives near Bristol and combines freelance and personal work in photography, new-media, design and writing with part-time lecturing at the University of the West of England, and project co-ordination for arts and media organisations.

Liz has had work exhibited on billboards and buses in Bristol, at the Watershed and King's Street gallery, also in Bristol, at the Salisbury Festival, and in a Southern Arts Touring show, 'Forest'. 'The Woods - A Year and a Day' was one of the SW region's Year of the Artist activities at Ashton Court Visitor Centre in Bristol 2001.

With artists' group Ship of Fools, Liz has also exhibited installation based work at the f stop gallery in Bath - Dreamhouses 1998; The Pump Rooms in Cheltenham - 'Losing the Plot' as part of the Cheltenham Festival of Literature 2000; and at Watershed Media Centre - Six Small Screens, 2000.

Her work has been published in 'Memory in Perspective' one of series of books on theory and practice in Women's photography - Scarlet Press and Iris 1997 '365 - The Year of the Artist in the South West' - Agre Books, 2001. 'In Praise of Trees' - Salisbury Festival 2002

Conferences Paper presented at the ISEA 2000 (International Symposium of Electronic Arts), Paris on the link between history of art and new technology. Paper presented at HPinvent labs Mobile Bristol conference - January 2002
